Homelessness can affect anyone, at any time. People can lose their home for many reasons.
Families and single people, young or elderly, men or women can find themselves homeless through no fault of their own.
Act as soon as possible
If you find yourself homeless or threatened with homelessness the first thing you should do is get advice. You can make an appointment to see a member of the Housing Needs Team (Homelessness Officer) or get independent advice from an organisation such as the Citizens Advice Bureau.
We may be able to help you to keep your present accommodation, or give you advice and assistance to help you find a place to live without having to go through the homeless process.
